Evelyn Loong

Evelyn Loong graduated from the Grantham College of Hong Kong, and received her teaching licence as a fully qualified primary and secondary school teacher. With extensive experience in teaching, she was also responsible for the art department at the prominent Hong Kong Children Choir for years. Throughout her professional tenure, she was instrumental in developing many art ideas to stimulate the creativity and uniqueness of children. She has implemented numerous art programs to enrich the artistic nature of children at the time. In 1983, she has created, illustrated and written a children's story book.

In 1992, Evelyn graduated from the Ontario College of Art and Design with an Honour Distinction Award. Her artistic talent was well recognized and her effort was viewed as exemplary. Currently, she is a graphic and web designer.

With great interest in developing a well-rounded art program and a sincere desire to nurture the creativity of the next generation, Evelyn has decided to widen her scope of teaching to include modern technology. Her program is not limited to the traditional painting and drawing, but also includes web-site design, Chinese calligraphy, and she even assists students to prepare art portfolios for application to art schools in colleges and universities.

Her teaching has been well received and complimented by both students and parents. She organized and led a group of high school students to paint a mural at the St. Barnabus School in Scarborough in 1988. Evelyn enjoys working with children. Efforts of her previous students can be viewed at this web site.

As a truly caring teacher, Evelyn is fun to work with. She is fluent in Cantonese, English and Mandarin.
